Howdy, I’m Matt!
(a.k.a. Paul Matthew Seibert)
I’m a healthcare provider and educator living and serving in Virginia, USA. Beyond caring for patients as a Registered Nurse at VCU MCV campus, I instruct AHA courses, and spend time with my family.
01. Patient Care Specialist
As a RN in the VCU Health Cardiology department, I care for patients and am a positive activist for their desire to be back home. I do so with a sense of humor that gets smiles from everyone I meet. I enjoy taking the time to make your experience better, and hope that I do. Previously, I prepared patients for their imaging procedures (X Ray, Flouroscopy, CT Scan, and MRI) or IR/NVIR procedures (such as biopsies or port-a-cath placements).
02. Undergraduate Fellows Program
I was both humbled and honored to have been identified as an exceptional nursing student and awarded a position in the Fellows Leadership Program. I hope that I still exhibit and lead with the same integrity, veracity, and fidelity as those who came before me.
03. Instructor and Training Faculty
Educating defines who I am and what I do. As the owner of CSRE – Community Safety & Response Educators – I live out this calling as Instructor, Training Faculty, and Training Site Coordinator.
Clifton Strengths – Top 5
My top five strengths are in communication, restorative, activator, woo, and ideation. I gain energy from meeting new people and connecting with them. I am fulfilled when I can explain material in a manner that others understand and I can see the light bulb go off in their eyes. Furthermore, I am a creative thinker, problem solver and turn those thoughts into actions.
Family
I come from a large family and enjoy spending time with them. I am the proud father of three successful, adult daughters. My sister blessed me as an uncle to both my nephew and niece.
Alphabet Soup
I currently hold a license as an RN, with my degree BSN and certification with TNCC, certifications as a NR-EMT; BLS, ACLS & PALS Provider, Instructor, and Training Faculty through the American Heart Association, as well as being an FAA SEL pilot and PADI Rescue Diver and Dive Instructor.
Re-creation
Work hard and play hard! I find immense joy in authoring, facilitating, and participating in role playing games. My wife and I have created the LeafySeadragon Inn and welcome visitors from near and far. We spend time outdoors hiking or relaxing on our porch year round. If not creating with the written word, I can be found in my shed creating some new item out of wood.
Drop me a line!
I would love to hear from you and find a time to connect.
